Another Update! (Feb 2022)
Hello!
I thought it was about time to give all of you another update on how things are going over here! It's been an insane couple of years, with so many changes-- but know we're thriving and doing well. Both shops are still open 10-6pm daily, and we're always open online.
The pandemic has luckily been manageable for us, and I truly thank all of my customers for keeping me and my team busier than ever! Supply chain issues are real, and very frustrating, but we're doing the best we can to keep things running with very few snags. We've had plenty of staffing changes (congrats to the college graduates, new moms, and new careers) and currently have a very strong team - literally and figuratively! It's impressive what gets done in a day!
Unfortunately, we had a lot of water damage during the winter storm here just after Christmas. It's taken quite a long time for mitigation to begin, but I'm happy to say that as of January 31st we're on our way with the repair process. It's going to be somewhat slow going, as we don't know the extent of the damages until we start to tear into the walls. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for minimal mold, and a speedy drying time in all affected areas.
The problem with that is simply all of the areas have been affected in some way. This includes handmade. la conner, our production kitchen, our shipping department, storage space, my office, sewing studio, Winston's General, and also my apartment. If you know me at all though, you'll be aware that I've never been afraid of a challenge, and that I love a good remodel. So, I'm doing my best to focus on the positives and enjoy the process as much as possible.
We're starting with handmade, and will work our way through a very long string of phases, while shuffling things around and updating completely every space that I have, and even some space in the building that isn't mine yet, but I figured why not take even more space while I'm at it. I have so many new projects and ideas in the works, and cannot wait to share them all with you!
Please sign up for our newsletter, and check in at (360) 214-2415 as I'm sure we'll be closing each area down at some point, but are not planning on closing everything at once. You can follow along with all the process on social media - Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. I'm sure once it's all put back together we'll have some sort of grand re-opening.
As always, thank you all so very much for your support!
